Baby Steps
On January 15, 2011 Finley took her first step. She was holding on to the ottoman, let go, and decided to take a step! I was sitting about 3 feet away from her and watched in amazment. I saw the determination in her eyes and I knew what was about to happen. It happened so quickly that I was not able to catch it on video but then she kinda did it again later that night...when I had the video camera in my hand (ok so I stalked her with video camera in my hand until she did it again! Ha!). I can't believe my baby is starting to walk! Soon she will be running...away from me...

FAB Friday
Mirror, Mirror on the wall who is the prettiest baby of them all?
It has been pretty uneventful around here lately. We had the snow on Monday and while it was pretty to look at I am ready for it to leave. Especially because we have been stuck inside ever since. Fin and I both had colds and so we haven't venture far from the house. Needless to say we have CABIN FEVER really bad! I am ready for Spring!! B started back classes and baseball practice this week so he is going to be a busy man. Finley is getting around really well and there is not an inch of this house that she has not explored. One of her favorite things to do is crawl down the hallway to the mirror and look at herself (I have no idea where she gets that from! Ha!) She is eating really well and pretty much will eat anything that we put if front of her which makes dinner time very easy (and I am so thankful for this). Did I mention that I am ready for spring?!? I'm Back...kinda
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We have had computer issues and they are now fixed (as of yesterday)...but we did lose all of our pictures. So I can post an up date on Sweet Finley but the pictures will come at a later date.
FAB FRIDAY!
Finley is standing up on her own. She has been doing it for a while and on December 23 she let go of the coffee table at G Rock and Papa's house and stood without any help for at least 5 seconds. Everyday she gets more confident and will stand for a long time and clap. On January 4 she also stood up in the middle of the room all. by. herself. I was going nuts! She was playing with something and got in the squat position and just stood up. I can't believe how fast she is growing and she is learning something new everyday. She will be walking in no time. Stay tuned...

Happy 9 months Finley!
*First off I'm sorry that I haven't been able to update the blog...our brand new computer crashed and so I have been unable to post. I am so far behind and I'm hoping to get caught up as soon as the computer is fixed. I will have to add pictures to this post at a later date.
Happy 9 month birthday FINLEY!!! I can't believe that you are 9 months young already. You are growing rapidly and learning something new everyday! You steal my heart away every day and I cherish every single moment that we spend together. It is all to clear to me that these days of you as a precious little baby will not last forever and I want to hold on to them for as long as I can. You truly are the sweetest, happiest, and all around good baby. You are developing quite the personality and I love to see it shine through. You get compliments all of the time for being such a beautiful, content, and well behaved baby (and I take all of the credit for that HA HA!).
*9 month stats...15.13 pounds and 28 inches...you are a petite little girl and your tiny hiney can still wear a size 2 diaper.
*For the most part you are on a great schedule...
wake around 5am (yawn) to nurse then back to sleep
between 7:30 and 8:00 you wake for the day and sometime nurse
9:00 breakfast
10:00 morning nap
play time
2:00 afternoon nap
playtime
7:30 bath time
8:00 bed time
*You have been a great sleeper but lately you wake several times a night and you usually just want the paci back in your mouth. I had heard of the 4 month sleep regression but I think you are going through the 9 month sleep regression. Mommy and Daddy are hoping that you grow out of the this soon because I am tired.
*You learn something new everyday and it is truly fascinating to watch you grow. Sometime I feel like I can see your brain working and learning and absorbing.
*you are a pro crawler and you can pull up on any and everything. You are starting to stand on your own for a couple of seconds at a time and you are just recently start cruising from one object to the other...like going from the couch ottoman to the couch.
*You LOVE LOVE LOVE bath time and when you hear the water running when we start your bath you come racing in from the den. We just started using bubbles on occasion and you can't get enough.
*You love to laugh and You are a DANCING MACHINE!!!! Ha Ha! Anytime you hear music you start bouncing, clapping, and bobbing your head...it is the absolutely cutest thing I have ever seen. If you are anything like your Mommy you will continue to love to dance dance dance.
*Your new trick that you just learning is pointing. It is kinda funny the way you point because you do this little hand flap and point that is so dainty.
