Ray Tanner Home Run

I have been a runner for years. It is something that I love to do. It's my time, my freedom, my exercise, my challenge. I grew up watching my parents run so I guess it is in my blood. I love everything about it...challenging my body to go further and pushing the limits...and if I don't get to run a couple of days in a row I get all antsy and out of sorts. In fact I was training for the Twin Cities marathon when I found out that I was pregnant. Now that Little Miss is here we try to go running at least 3-4 times a week so it is only natural that we ran a race together. So on October 16 Finley, Micah and her boys ran in the Ray Tanner Home Run 5k. I can say that it was our first race together but technically it was not...I ran in the Governors Cup Half Marathon when I was 5 and half months pregnant so this was really her second race with Momma! And for the record she beat me both times HA! Now my goal is to get back to where I was before I became pregnant and to run the marathon that I started training for. Daddy B met us at the finish line and then we enjoyed the festivities with Micah, Tucker, and Mattox. BIG props to Micah for pushing that honker of a stroller with TWO big boys the entire way!
Cocky giving us a pep talk before the race started!

All of us at the end of the race that finished at home plate.

Finley's first picture with Cocky!

B came to watch us run. He has been there for all but one of my races and he only missed the one because it was during the season!

Coach Tanner and Finley...B's old college baseball coach and now boss man.
